Dinner Dating - How it works!
Whether you're looking for a great evening out, some fun and laughter and a bit of different company. Whether you're looking to expand your circle of friends or you're a serious dater who is looking to meet Mr or Ms Perfect, then our Dinner Dating Parties could be just what you're after.
What sort of people attend?
In short - nice people. Maybe they're very busy and don't have time to organise their own social diaries, perhaps demanding relatives get in the way or maybe - as often happens, most of their circle of friends are already attached. We regularly have had the company of Doctors, Lawyers and Members of the Aristocracy, but equally we host Police Personnel, Firemen and Market Gardeners, so a great mix of interesting, attractive people. Our clients all have one thing in common, they are looking to meet others and are keen enough to take the step and make it happen.
What to expect on the night
The usual start time is 7.30pm and please feel free to arrive a little earlier if you wish but this is not necessary as the check in formalities are minimal There is a complimentary glass of wine on arrival, to help calm any nerves and give everyone the chance to get to know each other. Our host or hostess will make the necessary introductions and don't forget our unique guarantee will operate, if you're coming alone, you won't be alone for more than a few seconds! Just walk into the restaurant, the Maitre D' will direct you to our party and we'll do all the rest to make you welcome and part of the group straight away.
Getting started
When everybody has arrived and has had the chance to acclimatise to the atmosphere, we take our places around the table. Everybody has a place reserved for them and a Place card with their name printed on it. We arrange for males and females to sit next to each other around the table wherever possible, enabling new friendships to develop naturally during the evening.
The Meal
The meal is often 2 courses with a coffee to follow but it does vary from restaurant to restaurant, according to the quality of food being served. We do however strive to provide extremely good value wherever we are dining and we do pay attention to the little details that go towards making your evening an enjoyable one.
Do remember however that the cost of the food is only part of the cost of the evening. You are attending largely to meet people and the event will have been extensively advertised to ensure that this happens. It is a hosted event and costs are also incurred in this aspect.
It's not the same as just turning up at the restaurant and buying a meal alone or in a small group. An awful lot of time and trouble has been put into arranging the evening long before you get to the restaurant.
The Format
For many of you the main purpose of the event is to meet new friends of both sexes and maybe that perfect partner. This is facilitated by the guys moving around the table periodically and spending a little time (usually one course) with as many of the ladies as possible during the evening.
Feedback
There is no paperwork, documentation to complete or boxes to tick as we want our Dinner Dating parties to be as natural as possible and wanted to create a major differential between this and Speed Dating. If you have been smitten by someone around the table and don't want to ask for their phone number directly, then call us next day and we would be happy to pass on your phone number to the person concerned, although we would never give out the contact details of someone who has attended our events to someone else without their expressed permission.
